This website is a place of initiation, an invitation to discover the Art of Life.

Its name pays tribute to the dragonfly, our universal emblem, evocative of the perpetual motion of Life. Indeed, Nature lies at the Centre of everything and brings us back to our own Centre.

Throughout my projects, I have always aspired to create and to convey this Art of Life. I wished to break with tradition in order to form today this ecosystem of well-being, while respecting Nature and its cycles, the land, the Men – farmers, artisans, artists, producers and freethinkers… – and the beautiful know-how.

Through the Domaine des Etangs, located in the Charente Limousine region, a place of Life and of well-being spread over 2,500 acres, in equilibrium between the Sky and the Earth.

Through the Collection Dragonfly, a universal and universalist collection of contemporary and ethnic art, minerals, objects and books, all channelling a message of wisdom, knowledge and heritage.

Through Créations Dragonfly, a line of objects that place the spotlight on the know-how of artisans, respectful of time and of natural resources. Through books, a selection of products and objects related to Nature and its observation, as well as specialties by local producers… which will soon complement the range.

And, today, through opening this “window”,, which will, I hope, reach your heart and your eyes, perhaps fill you with wonder, make you smile and, above all, reconnect you with the essential principles of Nature.

Art of Life

Gathered here are works, words, endeavours and thoughts on a World to observe and transform from a child’s wise perspective. A World in which everything would be connected, Nature and Man in harmony and in their rightful place, united while respectfully sharing.
This is the meaning and the expression of the ethos that drives each of the Dragonfly projects and endeavours.

What if we trusted our senses and once more observed our World through the simple and wise gaze of a child, filled with simplicity and wisdom? Everything would then make sense, Everything would be connected, Everything would be One and the influence of Man would once more hold an appropriate place. We would view Nature like a perfectly balanced ecosystem; from fundamental elements to natural cycles, from animal species to plants varieties, from the richness of forests to the wonders of stars… Everywhere, we would feel its boundless tenderness and its incredible generosity. Perhaps then would we be content with simply sharing it rather than owning it. One mustn’t loot Nature. One should simply enjoy its riches while respecting its resources, to repay a hundredfold what it offers munificently. Closing one’s eyes and letting the gaze of artists, the hand of artisans, the down-to-earth common sense of small producers guide us. Seeing, feeling and sensing together with them what lies dormant and simply awaits a spark of inspiration to awaken and fill us with wonder. Renewing with the essence. Following the pace of cycles and the passing seasons and reaping, each in our own way, the benefits of the subtle alchemy, embodied by our Art of Life.

Art is an harmony…

Life is like a dragonfly…

Art of Life

Voir un monde dans un grain de sable, un paradis dans une fleur des champs, tenir l’infini dans la paume de sa main, et l’éternité dans l’heure présente.
—Wiliam Blake

A dream without stars

Nature at every moment…

Art is the joy of intelligence…

Life is a work of Art…

Art of Life

Et elle, c'était quoi? Une libellule je dirais. Toute d'envol et de transparence, se faufilant, gracieuse, entre les deux royaumes de la Terre et du Ciel, indemne, libre.
—Christian Bobin
